Simon, I can make for you pics of mirror polished finish and old polished finish if you want, but they look pretty same … David is right. I haven´t / hadn´t basic polished finish though.

Thanks both. I don't need pictures thank you Petr, but your impressions are very valuable.

So if I put an old polished handle onto a new mirror polished head, it would not look like there was a difference?

I'm up for my first Wolfman in the next coming weeks/months and I have decided to go for the basic polish. There are so many that have choosed the basic polish that are very satisfied with the finish and that it's not worth the extra $200 for the mirror polished. I believe that the mirror polished is the same as the 'old' polished.

That would be my opinion, Simon, yes. The old polish is so good, I fail to see how James could better it.

I have a WR1 with the mirror polish that I purchased before there was an extra charge. I just got a WR2 with the basic polish. I can tell the difference between the 2, but the basic polish is still nice and I'm happy with it. I would order the basic polish again over paying the extra money for the mirror polish.

The old system was either mirror polished or polished then brushed after on his Stainless steel. The basic polish, which is excellent, or basic brushed are new since he added upcharges for polishing.

Thought this question would fit in here nicely, hope the OP doesn‘t mind.

For my upcoming order, I‘m not quite sure which finish I want. I‘d like something that doesn‘t lend itself to micro scratches. Better: which of the current finishes on offer requires the least maintenance?

Brushed or satin is probably what you're looking for.
