Vulfix Synthetic Brushes

Has anyone seen the above at Executive Shaving or anywhere else for that matter? Even better, has anyone got one or used one and passed it on? I'm keen to know if the fibre is the same as Simpsons use in the Chubby 2 Synthetic and also curious as to the density given the difference between Simpsons and Vulfix's badger offerings. I'm really tempted to take one for the team but currently lack the funds.

Someone on TSR bought one. It appeared in one STOD and recieved a very meh review. I'd conclude that it's not in the same class as the CH2 SYN. From memory I think the fibers are coarser than the Simpsons ones and it really doesn't splay much at all. However, this is all second hand info from memory so if someone has first hand experience - lets hear it.

I owned one last year and sold it, the fibers are completely different to the fibers that appear in the Simpson brushes which is peculiar given that they are the same company. The Vulfix has a more 'prickly' feeling and isn't as soft.

I believe i had the 30mm knot with the 65mm loft and as far as i remember it had a very noticeable glue bump around 8-10mm which i didn't care for, made it a bit too stiff, but if you like tons of backbone then it might interest you. The Simpson brushes do not have any glue bump.

If you want my honest opinion i wouldn't bother with the Vulfix and i would just go for the Simpson, they're leagues apart - the Simpson synthetic is probably the best fiber available in my opinion.

Very useful to know thanks. I was considering the 25mm Vulfix, but will probably pass now. Possibly they're using Muhle V1 and V2 fibres in Vulfix and Simpson respectively?

No - Muehle V2 fibers are not the same as the Simpsons fibers - nowhere near as good in my experience.
