The ENOCH Razor

Hope so 🤞. Have the original Occam's and their DE which are perfectly good. They seem to be having a bit of a nightmare at the moment though.
Agreed. It's been hit one, miss one. Hope they get it sorted out. I have the DE as well and it has been a very competent razor. Ditto for the original Occam's.

My replacement Enoch just arrived. They sent not just the baseplate, but the top cap too, which is probably sensible.

Looking forward to trying it tomorrow.
Hope it works. Just make doubly sure the blade is securely located on those IMHO rather Shallow retaining pins/lugs. I had a very good Shave today. Used a Feather Proguard which helps protect against operator error.

Wow - that was quick.

They responded to me via email quickly. My complication is that I had it posted to a US address but obviously I'd like these replacement parts sent direct to me. I've requested that and we'll see the response.

I've tried it now with a non-mangled head, and I feel it's a pretty good shave, even if the construction/build is a bit cheap. I will use this! Now to get my Hiram sorted, and I'll be happy.

Has anyone used the Enoch that also has experience with a Cobra or the RX? I'd be interested to hear how it compares. Apologies if this exists somewhere else on the forum.

Hi,
I have used the Enoch and a King Cobra . Just had 3 great Shaves with The Enoch + Feather Proguard. Though a mildish Shave it is not one for a quick early morning Shave, but take time and it delivers a close all round finish. I find that after just a few outings it is easier to wield than the King Cobra, works particularly well ATG and around the neck and the finished Shave is better.

I've shaved with the pass-around Rx and I also own a Cobra Classic. Once I have the undamaged Enoch parts I'll report back.

Second shave with the non-mangled Enoch, and again it was pretty good. I don't think I got the angle perfect everywhere (always the jawline, isn't it?). Not aggressive, but fairly close. At the moment, I probably put it behind the General, but I still have some learning to do. I like how light it is, and how nimble the head feels. I can get right in under my nose, no problem, rather like a Vector.

Even with all the negative reviews I still want to try one of the occams some day....
They currently are quite expensive.
I get on well with mine now.Initially I made mistakes with The Enoch. The Hiram Shaves perfectly with a good No2 plate borrowed from an Oren.

Now I am back to standing up Shaves [ on account broken leg ] I have just completed 4 back to back Shaves with my Enoch, with a Feather Proguard on board. I am getting Smooth and comfortable Shaves and without any problems able to get consistently close all round finishes.
Looking at it closely , its finish may not be perfect but I am finding it to be an effective Razor and with a Proguard quite acceptable as a Daily Shaver.
Just be sure the blade is seated and secured properly.
