It's tempting for sure even though I'm a face latherer. Plus I already love my Timeless Razor Blue Shaving Bowl (which was $12 and which I don't use often). But the fact that it's foldable is really damn cool and indeed $8 makes it a steal.

I face lather and don't use a bowl. If you use a bowl you are bowl lathering.

I have a silicone collapsible dog bowl for travel. It works just as well as this one as the lumps at the bottoms are superfluous. The grippy nature of the silicone surface agitates the brush hairs/ fibres and creates the lather not those lumps. Plus a silicone dog bowl is a bit cheaper, easier to buy and therefore easier to replace once you leave it in a hotel room...
