Not exactly, the razor was never tested for Proline fitment, per my email from Alpha this morning:
"jeff - I do not have that blade and only test with Professional and Proguard. it should fit."
Fingers crossed but not what I expected .If Alpha had decided before production that it wouldn't fit Proline based on tests and made that known that would have changed a number of our buying decisions.

Good call-out. So it was an unknown in the case of the Schick ProLines. Hopefully it works consistently. Getting a little confusing as to what works and what doesn’t. Not great that certain blades don’t work, but I feel like if the two Str8Mug mentioned work, it probably aligns with the needs of the vast majority of AC shavers.

I don't know, a lot of us in the US stocked up on Proline blades when they were much cheaper than Feathers when shipped from Japan. Steve's "it should fit " response is mystifying as we've already determined that Feather Pro fitment doesn't in fact tell you anything about Proline fitment.

Bottom line is we have a product that is FUBAR in terms of quality control and then the release of it to the buying public. Not a big deal in today's environment and on a global scale but, in our wee little wet shaving universe it's a disaster. I won't say of epic proportions but, we're not that far off. I do know that Alpha has had a good history of customer service and making things right. Yet still, the launch could have been postponed for a few more weeks to get qc done in a timely manner.
Bottom line is this error in the top caps could have been stopped right at the door.......

It's hugely disappointing. I don't particularly even like AC razors , I bought one largely on my experience with the Outlaw and wanting to support Alpha's efforts by giving the format another shot. You're right the fact that some fit some don't speaks not just to a design issue but to QC. Originally he said he was going to improve on the Original Claymore. Wish I had not gone ahead, my Humble Raster is more adaptable to users with different favourite blades.
Can anyone post pictures of the razor head disassembled so we can see why the razor is unable to take all AC blades? I only have one AC razor, the RazoRock Hawk v3, which works perfectly with Feather Professional and Schick Proline blades. I know some of the other blades have slight variances in size, but I would have thought the spots where the pegs / posts go are all pretty standardized, so I'm unclear in what was the other blades cannot fit.

Post on the left may be too wide (?) Or located a fraction too far west (?) to accept the Proline.

Thanks for the picture. I'm still puzzled. I just lined up a Feather Pro over a Schick Proline, back and sides aligned, and the holes are the exact same size and in the exact same spots, the only difference being those extra cut-outs, which shouldn't affect those oval posts. So unless there's a fractional difference that I am not seeing, anything that is compatible with the Feather Pro should be compatible with the Schick Proline blades as well, no?
EDIT: To be clear, I am not shaving with rusty blades. Just haven’t tossed them yet.

Wonder why when Zhang Doe mentioned a product list showing Kai Blades fitting you expressed a like, rather than correcting or challenging his post.
I think you have created the AC version of the One Blade which may well disappoint a few users.I will try the Razor today with a Feather Pro.
PS A very smooth and comfortable Shave, and for a first outing an excellent close all round finish.Honestly probably the the smoothest Shave I have had with a Feather Pro. Will now try it as a Daily Shaver for a Week.

Sat 25th September
Now on my 3rd consecutive Shave with The EVO. So far I have had good quality Shaves with the Feather Pro on board all without fear of mishap. Today I felt confident enough in the capabilities of the Razor/Blade combo to push it a bit. I was able to do enough polishing up work to attain an ultra close all round finish of the “ Face Stroking” variety.
As the Feather Pro a blade formerly not a favourite of mine, works so well in The EVO that I will continue to use it.In fact I have managed to buy some at a reasonable cost. I still think it would be a good idea for Alpha to do minor alterations to the blade locator pegs, then they would have a Razor that satisfies everyone’s needs.

It will be addressed.
I had to go in to hospital for major surgery 10 days after it launched. I am recovering now and have a 23cm scar on my side as a momento of my hospital stay. I am addressing any people who have cap issues. Yes, I could have checked each and every one BUT I did not in the rush to fulfil orders after people had waited about 2 months longer than I anticipated. The ones I did check worked fine. I have all the blades with me now and will keep working on it.
The ones that do not fit are literally 0.02mm too long in the blade post. That is a fanny hair - in fact half of a fanny hair width and coupled with the understandable tolerance in the blades too - some ended up not fitting.
Anyone not satisfied then send me the razor back undamaged and you can have a full refund including postage.
