Dudes you may know I collaborated with Executive Shaving on a DE razor called "Outlaw" some may even have tried one. Well now it is almost time for the next episode - a lovely SE razor. We have been squirreling away on a new SE - a reborn, revitalised and all newly machined version of Claymore. Meet the Claymore Evolution. Prototype 1 has already been tested to make sure the razor geometry is right - it is... now the design has been tightened up and remodeled for the 21st century. The photos are of Prototype #1. The video is a CAD render of CAD revision #4 - the production candidate. I am getting this machined as we speak and will have it with my testers in about two weeks.

Watch this space for launch new on Claymore Evolution!!

Steve, I'm assuming the Claymore Evo will only be available through Executive Shaving (with the associated ESC branding) if it's made in Scotland?

its not made in Scotland. I will be available with both Alpha or Exec. Shaving branding. Same as Outlaw.
Thanks Steve. I'm assuming the pictures in the ESC site are legacy Claymore pics:

I am literally finishing up the CAD number 4 for the production candidate now. You can see how Claymore Evo will look in the videos above. The CAD #1 drawings are what you see on the web page.

Does it have anything different about it compared to similar Mongoose, Hawk, General, Vector etc?
Its initial attraction for many was that it was designed in the UK, and allegedly made in UK too .However, now it seems that it like most newcomers it is being made in the Far East. Apparently will be a lighter pared down version of The ES Claymore, which I use.

Thanks. Seemed hard to work out from the preview if it had any stand out features over the above. I know the Vector is quite a small profile head so wondered if this was similar or not.

The profile looks to be along the lines of the Hawk V3 in terms of size

Been waiting on this one for over 2 years. I have the ES Claymore V2 and it’s a performer and that’s no BS. Can’t find them on the b/s/t listings, that should tell you something. Yes, it’s uglier than Sin itself but, with a smooth hand & technique, it shaves exceptionally well to be quite honest. The Evolution has some big shoes to fill. If it’s close enough to the Claymore V2 in performance, I’m in like Flynn. You have my attention, for now..... :watching:

OK - here are the first photos. I shaved with Claymore Evo tonight - dolphin smooth. He is al 316L stainless steel. Al machined and sand blasted to a lovely finish. Apologies I am not a great photographer so I will strive to get some better ones soon.

I will open for pre-orders on Monday at the latest.
