This is my first dealing with him and I'm not very impressed! Basically he knows his products are poop and doesn't give a poop!
I wonder if I paid with paypal?
If you did it would be interesting to see if you could actually do something through it in terms of disputing the charges due to the delivered product being of inferior quality and exhibiting early, and distinct, quality issues.

Haha, I've flamed him via email and he has offered me a $5 discount on a satin version!
He cannot do any more as he doesn't make much profit on these as it is...
So he says!

IB response to my PayPal Claim:
Dear Lee, The razor you purchased is over 3 months old and has been used for 3 months. We do not warrant the razor for cosmetic damage that is caused by the customer after 3 months of use. The razor does not come with a warranty, as per the terms and conditions when you bought it. We do not replace razors once damaged by a customer. When you received the razor, there was no manufacturing defects with it and we were not contacted about any manufacturing defects. Any damage that has been caused from using or cleaning the razor in an incorrect way is responsibility of the buyer.
So it is my fault!?

What is it plated with?

The coating that is on M&Ms?

If you can't get it wet why did they make a wet shaving razor out of it?

I realize it's an economical way to test drive the artist club blades, but it should have a little more life span than three months.

Well PayPal found in IB's favour, so I am left with a peeling Chrome Hawk and therefore my review needs to change a little!
It simply doesn't last; is not fit for purpose and Joe at IB is not great to deal with and doesn't stand by his products.
Disappointed...

That is beyond disappointing. You've only got to look at the customer service of other manufacturers to realise that the IB response is beyond terrible. I'm now glad I missed out on the opportunity to get one.

This is why we should support vendors like Blackland, Hone, Colonial, etc that understands that a sale doesn't end when the Paypal dispute period expires - that it's is an ongoing relationship.

Gents,

I had my chrome one for a long time and shaved with it numerous times. The only thing I don't like about it is the mildness. Not in the general's territory. I have no complaints about the finish though. I do clean and dry it after shaving and once dry, I wipe it with a duster cloth. The finish has been preserved in pristine order so far and it doesn't look as it will peel away any time soon. I understand that some of us may have problems with the finish, maybe mine was the lucky one. I'm sure others have had the same experience with theirs.
