looks like the stainless steel version of the Baby Smooth is on the horizon.

Talked about pretty much since they released the Baby Smooth, but it started looking like they wouldn't release it anymore, at least to me.
I'm happy I was wrong there.

I think the curve is more like the Merkur 45 rather than a FaTip's, though.

Looking again, I'd agree. Merkur 45. I had one and gave it to a friend. It was mild, but you could buff and buff until you got what you needed done and not get any irritation.

Same here i was thinking the same thing and i really enjoy using the mamba

I guess we'll know for sure once one of us has it in hand, but the side shot suggests that the blade is bent more than in the Mamba, closer to the Baby Smooth/Merkur 45.
If/when I get one, I hope I'll be able to get some side by side photos.
