New Timeless Bronze

It finally arrived today! My new Timeless Bronze. The presentation is quite nice and the razor is absolutely gorgeous. I had seen lots of pictures of it while I was deciding to buy, but they simply don't do it justice. It is also a heavy razor (which I like). I have to admit that I am a fan of beautiful things (although I won't choose form over function). I can't wait to shave with it tonight. My plan is to load it with a fresh Feather blade. Soap and brush to be determined.

Beautiful colour and looks extremely “chunky”
At first glance doesn’t appear nimble.

Looking forward to hearing your ongoing impressions of it.

Just finished my first shave with the Bronze. Keep in mind 2 things: (1) I like heavy razors and (2) I like mild razors. Equipment: Chiseled Face Cedar & Spice and Chubby 2 Super. The only other modern razor I have is my ATT Kronos with the R1 plate. This razor is mid-aggressive (according to at ATT) and gives a great shave with no irritation. According to ATT, the blade gap is .58 gap. Timeless states that the .36 gap on the Bronze shaves like their .68 gap SS razor. The feel of the razor is wonderful. I just like a heavy razor that I can lay against my face and let it do its work. The biggest thing I noticed is that while the shave is the same smooth as the ATT, the Bronze is slightly more efficient, resulting in less cleanup. Overall, this razor is a keeper. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Very nice razor and first shave. The ATT R2 was one of my early SS razors. Huge fan of it as I got used to the teeth over several consecutive shaves. As you mention it's extremely efficient and smooth (having also tried the R1). I find the Timeless to be less angle specific and better balanced, the razor does all the work, no need for changing pressure etc. So all in all an easier and closer shave. The ATT S1 offer the mildest shave out of thier range, that I've tried. The bronze Timeless is equally smooth but offers crisp blade feel. Great razor.

While I don't have the Bronze, I have 2 other Timeless razors (SS .095 OC and Ti.095SB ) and they are both great shavers. Enjoy your new razors.

While I'm an admitted Timeless fanboy, neither one of their bronze offerings made the cut with me. Beautifully executed with perfect form and fit. I just never found the correct combination blade to make it work for me. Oh well, I do love my SS and Ti pieces though. Good on ya sir. I'm sure the patina will be outstanding in a couple of months.

I've both bronze versions (OC and SB). The SB I consider to be a mild shaver which is not bad as I can get just as good a shave as with the more aggressive OC. In fact, the OC is more aggressive than my ATT H1 head. Even though I tend to favour a razor rated between the OC and SB (my ATT R1 is my main), I tend to use the OC more than the SB. I just wish Timeless would bring out a scalloped bronze version to compete my (bronze) set:

The titanium SB is similar in terms of blade feel to the ATT R1, should you ever wish to emulate 'that' face feel.

I have just aquired a Timeless Bronze OC. It is astonishingly good in the looks department and it does shave well. I can't understand though why it doesn't have soap channels on the base plate though it doesn't seem to clog any more than any other razor I own. It's probably to make the base plate even more attractive.

Changed up the Timeless Bronze OC this morning for the better. I was using my favorite blade the Gillette 7 'o' clock Yellow. These are on the sharper side and when using with the TB it was always on the cusp of giving me a nasty nick or that was how the shave felt. I was always tentative and on my guard. The Shave was close and good but not enjoyable.
This morning I decided to load up a Shark and the difference was Night and Day. Gone was the feeling of impending bloodletting and the confidence in the shave flooded back. Results were better too giving a super close BBS. The Gillette Yellow is Fab in 90% of the razors I own, especially in my Wolfman 0.78 but it was too much in the Timeless. When you find The blade for a razor it is a wonderful feeling.
