Crack on Coticule Les Latneuses Hybrid

I have recently purchased this Les Lat Hybrid finisher and received it today. I was disappointed to find a crack on the stone. I have contacted the seller to arrange a replacement.

This is not normal, right? There shouldn't be any sort of crack on the stone. I can feel the crack that is on the side of the stone as well as on the hybrid face.

Has anyone had this before?

That's a good crack!
I assume it's a newly mined stone from Ardennes or a contractor?

It's never happened to me, and I've heard of small cracks being filled with CA glue, but that crack is larger than I would accept. It's good the seller is replacing it.

BTW, post up the replacement when it arrives.. :okay:

I have arranged for a replacement that is slightly longer (125) than this stone (100). Well, as it turns out the crack/fissure on Les Latneuses are rather common as they are hard and unstable. I've contacted Rob from Ardennes and he also said it's quite common on these.

I guess that's why it's the best to seal your stones.

I will post once the replacement arrives. I am by the window looking at me watch.
