Progress on the Caerbannog raozr.
The head has been simplified even further by Tom.
I'll probably go with three 3x2mm N52 magnets for sheer strength.
They have 475g max. pulling power each. Three of those should be able to hold a blade in place.

I'm not completely done yet (the head-handle-interface might need a little refinement), but here are some images:

Slant versions will come later.
Nice! The bunny head is a nice touch.

All looking very promising. Would certainly be interested if a group buy could be organised once finished. The Tnnser from the previous one Is my favourite Gem style razor 👍

I don't think I'll do a group buy.
I might recommend an online print shop.
The current design is £6.13 shipped from the printer I last used. £3.37 for the razor.
Ten magnets (enough for three razors) are £1.74 shipped on eBay.
Superglue is £1 for 4 small bottles from Poundland (hence the price).
Alternatively, Lidl are currently selling epoxy glue for £1.99 if you're quick (only three left at my local one - when they're gone they're gone, but they sell that stuff rather frequently)

At those prices, I'll not be going through all the stress of organising a group buy.

I would love to know the print shop you use. I was looking at the cost of printing stuff and I can't anywhere £3.37 for the razor!

I looked at treatstock.com and the quote for the Caerbannog in its current form in PLA with 20% infill is $4.37 which is £3.37
Plus $3.58 delivery. That's from the shop I used last time. I'm hesitant to name them just yet with just one order from me under the belt.
PM me if you need to know.

Understood. I'll sit tight and and see how it goes. But will have a look on treatstock.com in the mean time...

Is your 3d printed collection getting in the way of your vintage collection?

This is some of the gear that I've actually finished and use on a regular basis. Other projects/pieces have either taken a back seat or have become overly complicated to continue designing. What are some of the razor styles (lather catchers, DEs, SEs, etc) that you are working on, or would like to see 3d printed?

Good thing I don't have my own 3D printer.
The orange/red and silvery/grey ones that look a bit OneBlade-ish are interesting.
What blades do they take and how?
Yes, I'm nosey.

Those two are my best attempt at recreating the Occam's OREM razor. My only resources for that razor were pictures on the web, so who knows how close I got to the real thing. I did have to change the design a bit to make it a single solid piece that would print without supports. It uses Feather PRO blades just like the real one. It's a very efficient razor but the grip is not the most ergonomic. I guess it's more about the cool factor.

Won't it be difficult to remove the blade, especially when wet?
I don't think it will be more difficult than with the Wabbit razor.
Easier actually, as there is no fiddly cap.
There are little cut-outs for your fingernail at the back corners of the head. Those should help.
If you're worried about removing the blade when the razor is wet - let it dry.
Or treat it like any other injector blade razor - don't remove the blade between shaves.
